Frequently asked questions
Find straightforward answers about appointments, first visits, care, costs, forms, and urgent symptoms. Your own health, scheduling, and financial questions may still require an individual conversation with the clinic.
Appointments and first visits
How do I request an appointment?
Call the clinic or use the brief form on the Contact page. A website submission is an enquiry, not a confirmed appointment, and it does not guarantee a response time.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a photo ID, a current medication and allergy list, and any records the clinic specifically asks for. Ask before sending or bringing large files or imaging. The full preparation guide is on New Patients.
How long is the first appointment?
Appointment length varies with the reason for the visit and the evaluation required. Ask the office for its current scheduling estimate when booking.
Will I be treated at the first visit?
Not necessarily. The clinician first needs to understand the concern and decide whether chiropractic care is appropriate. If care is proposed, you should have time to discuss options and consent. Some presentations require more information or a different evaluation before treatment.
Do you provide accommodations or language assistance?
Tell the office what would help when you schedule so staff can discuss available arrangements. Call the clinic to confirm what can be provided for your visit.
Chiropractic care and clinical questions
What does a chiropractor evaluate?
A chiropractic evaluation commonly considers musculoskeletal concerns, movement, and function. The exact history and examination depend on the presentation. Symptoms can have many causes, so the evaluation may also identify reasons to seek medical testing or another professional's care.
Are chiropractic adjustments appropriate for everyone?
No single procedure is appropriate for every person or every condition. The clinician should review relevant history, examination findings, preferences, contraindications, and alternatives before recommending care. Ask what is proposed, why, what uncertainties remain, and what other options exist.
How many visits will I need?
There is no responsible universal answer. A recommendation, if any, should relate to the findings, goals, response, and planned reassessment points. Ask how progress will be evaluated and what would prompt a change or referral.
Will I need X-rays?
Not every patient does. Imaging should be tied to a clinical question and considered alongside the history, examination, previous images, and applicable guidance. If an X-ray is proposed, ask what it may change about the plan.
What services are available?
Browse Chiropractic Services for information about chiropractic care and in-office modalities. A listed service is not automatically appropriate for a particular patient; availability and fit should be confirmed with the clinic.
When should I seek urgent medical care instead?
Seek prompt medical evaluation for a serious injury, chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of stroke, or another severe, sudden change. New loss of bowel or bladder control, numbness around the groin or saddle area, or rapidly worsening limb weakness with spinal symptoms calls for immediate emergency-department assessment. Call 911 for an emergency. Do not wait for a website reply.
Costs, insurance, and forms
Does the clinic accept my insurance?
Coverage and participation can change and depend on the patient, plan, provider, and service. Contact the office and your insurer for current information. Benefits quoted before a visit are not necessarily a guarantee of payment.
What is the new-patient special?
See the price, included items, stated value, and eligibility restriction on New Patient Special. Imaging is included only when the clinician considers it necessary.
Can I get a Good Faith Estimate?
People who do not have insurance or do not plan to use it can generally ask a provider for a written estimate of expected charges. Timing and dispute rights are explained on Good Faith Estimate and the linked official CMS resource. Contact the office for an estimate related to your anticipated services.
Where do I submit new-patient forms?
Do not submit medical records through the ordinary contact form. Call the clinic to ask which forms or records are needed and how to provide them. See Sharing health information safely.
How will my website-form information be used?
The contact form is for brief, non-urgent enquiries and asks only for the information needed to respond. Do not include medical records or highly sensitive details. Read the Privacy Notice or call the clinic with a privacy question.
